This is our bread-and-butter level of production, in which juice is selected for varietal characteristics which are consistent and approachable. Mount Baker Vineyards Estate grows several varietals well-suited to the Puget Sound region. Of these vines, all are interesting tastes and some are not commonly available. Rosetta Blends are an opportunity to blend the many varietals we have available at the winery. The resulting melange connects unique characteristics of several grapes into a one-of-a-kind bottling.
Late Harvest Wines are produced in those years when grapes are allowed to hang on the vine well into November. If the weather is just right, these grapes make a highly concentrated and delicious dessert wine. Late Harvest wines should not be confused with “ice wines”, which are produced from regular juice in a series of freezing and thawings.
